Obituary of Roxanne McKane
Roxanne (Randall) McKane age 66 of Simla, Colorado passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born April 19, 1945 in Auburn, New York the daughter of Henry and Inez (Kitchen) Randall. She grew up and went to schools in Auburn and Locke, New York.
On February 3, 1962 in Courtland, New York, Roxanne was united in marriage to Gordon Alfred McKane. To this union were born five children, Valerie, Robin, Duane, Victor, and Shannon. They shared over forty three years of marriage before Gordon passed away on December 22, 2005.
Roxanne wore many hats during her career. She worked at the Grocery Store in Simla for many years. She spent most of her career working at the Travelers Uptown Motel in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she enjoyed meeting different people all over the country.
Roxanne enjoyed camping and fishing with her late husband Gordon. She especially loved playing bingo. Most of all, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family that she loved so much. Her spirit and love will continue to be reflected forever in the daily lives of all she touched.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gordon; one son, Victor McKane; two brothers, Henry Jr. Randall and Kenneth Randall; and a sister, Sadie Weaver.
Mrs. McKane is survived by two sons, Shannon McKane of Simla, Colorado and Duane McKane of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two daughters, Robin Gebhart of Simla, Colorado and Valerie Reid of Mary Esther, Florida; seven grandchildren, Julie Reid, Brian Reid, April McKane, Echo Gebhart, Tyler Reid, Jeremy Reid and Melissa Reid; one great granddaughter, Niah Bell.
