Dear family of Nick, I am the grandmother of the young man Nick was helping when he was so badly injured. Alex feels that Nick saved his life and we all consider him a hero. I understand he was about to be released so his actions were especially brave. Alex is doing all he can to make sure those who did this will be held accountable. I will be praying for your entire family as I can't possibly understand what you are going through. I pray God will give you comfort and peace in a time that must be unbearable. I just saw that Nick passed away, and I was totally shocked. I'm sorry I missed his service! When i coached cross country, Nick participated for a while, and I enjoyed the time spent encouraging him to run cross country. He was always friendly and polite. My deepest sympathy to Holly and family!!!! Janet Bailey
