Peggy Jones- to myself and many of my peers ran the nursery during church service when we were little. She would sit in the rocking chair in a floral dress and allow us to play with all the fun toys during church service. She would encourage us in whatever toy we were playing with and participate in our pretend adventures.
She had a servant heart and was always helping in some manner.
For the last 17 years she has been my pen pal. As I served in the Air Force and duties took me around the globe. I would receive letters from Peggy that offered a stroll down E Ave in the 80828 area code.
Peggy would share what color of kittens she had on her porch, what quilt she was working on with Barbara, what Bible study she was in, the nice visits with fellow limon neighbors and what pretty bird landed in her tree.
Peggy's giggle was contagious and our encounters were a refreshing reminder to enjoy the beauty in life.
