Ethan, Ryan and Kyle so sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a wonderful person that devoted many hours to the youth in our community whether it was coaching baseball, umpiring baseball, reffing basketball or attending Babe Ruth meetings. Lynn loved the “game” and sport whatever it may be and helped me out a ton. The Recreation Department sports ran smoothly because he always covered the games when I needed someone to umpire! Hold onto those special memories.

Ryan, Kyle, and Ethan...I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I enjoyed refereeing youth basketball and umpiring summer baseball with him. He always had a calming effect on the game when things got exciting with the coaches and crowds. He was always willing to explain things when I had a question. We got to coach the 13-15 year old team for 2 summers. He was always willing to hear my opinion even when I was wrong. He will be missed by many.

My condolence to family of Lynn Kaufman. Sorry to hear of cousin Lynn's passing. Fond childhood memories of family gatherings, visiting cousins Lynn, Lisa and Leslie in Flagler. I remember Lynn as a teenager showing us how to aim the basketball just right.

Sending condolences to the Kaufman family. Lynn was such a great guy! He never had much to say, but was always a pleasure to be around. We worked a lot of games together over the years and I was always impressed at his ability to stay calm amidst the chaos. My favorite memory of basketball with Lynn was the time we worked in Akron and right before we went out for pre-game, he lost a screw from his glasses (insert blind referee joke here). I was a little panicked as we hunted for a solution, but Lynn was unfazed. It took us some time to repair his specs and the game happened. To this day, I carry a small glasses repair kit in my basketball bag... thanks, Lynn! I will miss that calm demeanor!

Lynn Kaufman family,
On behalf of Babe Ruth League's Midwest Plains Region, I would like to express our sincere sympathy and condolences regarding Lynn's recent passing. I had the privilege of getting to know Lynn when we both served as State Commissioners for BRL, Inc. and were on the MWP Region's staff together.
I found him to be very passionate and engaged on both the State and Regional levels involving both baseball and softball programs. I found Lynn to be a very quiet person who generally did not say much and played things close to the vest. However, when he did have something to share you knew it was well thought out and was geared toward making things better for Colorado and the MWP Region.
Another thing I appreciated and am grateful for was Lynn's interest and knowledge in IT, computer software, social media, etc. He was a tremendous help to me and the MWP Region with our website management, technology needs, etc. If I had question, issue or challenge, Lynn was willing to assist and find a solution. His most recent project involved the development of a concept and program to improve the handling of documents for our Tournament Teams, ie. E-Cred as he called it. He was on a mission, always looking for ways to improve things. With Lynn's help, we received approval from BRL, Inc. HQ to test pilot this (we are into our 2nd season) with hopes it will someday be used program wide. Lynn deserves all the credit for this.
His dedication, commitment, and passion were quite evident. He will be missed on all levels of our program.
RIP Lynn.
