Obituary of Charles J. Sommer

Rural Bethune, Colorado resident Charles Julius (Chuck) Sommer Jr., age 41, died Tuesday December 5, 2006 at the Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital in Burlington, Colorado. Chuck was born December 24, 1964 in Waukon, Iowa to Charles J. Sommer Sr. and Karen (Grundland) Sommer. On October 23, 2006 Chuck was married to Michelle L. Tunink in Burlington, Colorado. Preceding him in death was his mother Karen Sommer. Surviving family members are his wife Michelle of their home north of Bethune, CO. His children Heather Sommer, Karanne Sommer. Also surviving are his father Charles J. Sommer Sr. of Overland Park, KS, his brother David Sommer and wife Paulette of Rush, CO. Sisters Risa Oswald of Ellicot, CO, Barb Sommer of Waukon, Iowa, Debbie Weisbrod and husband Dave of Cylinder, Iowa, Darcy Kanagy and husband Jim of Emmetsburg, Iowa and Brenda Peterson and husband Bill of Cameron, Missouri. Other survivors include his grandmother Evelina Sommer of Waukon, Iowa, his aunt, Jean Sommer of Denver, CO and nephews Trevor, Dustin and B.J.
