Many years ago, a lifetime ago, Friday nights were game nights with my good friends Clay, Trent and Bob. The battles we faught,, the victories we enjoyed, the defeats we suffered and the good company we shared remain with me to this day. Clay… what a good, kind, brilliant soul. You are remembered and loved to this day, good friend.

I was saddened to learn of Clay's passing, and am sorry for your loss. Clay and I corresponded occasionally in the 1990s about a science fiction role-playing game we enjoyed called Traveller. I always looked forward to receiving the Proceedings of the AAB, which was the newsletter of the History of the Imperium Working Group, an organization Clay had founded to support and discuss the Traveller universe.

Clay was my brother and really always will be. As these days pass without him, all your kind thoughts and memories are comforting to us. He was a bright soul and made his own way in the world. Meeting his diverse group of friends and seeing the lives he touched has been the best part of these sad days. Thank you all for the part you played in making Clay's life so happy. Love, Betty

I wish Clay were still around to keep gaming, but I'm glad I played with him shortly before his passing, and could see he enjoyed that game as much as ever, and in just the way he deserved. I will miss him at the conventions.

Clay has been my Supervisor for a little over 16 years. I always told him that he was the best boss I'd ever had. I will miss him so much. Today is the first day back from vacationing in Wisconsin for my Granddaughters wedding, and coming back to work and not seeing Clay at his desk is being very hard for me. I shed alot of tears when I heard about his passing on, but I have shed more today knowing that I will never see him again. My heart and prayers go out to you. He loved his family so much.
