Obituary of James Clement
James Richard Clement, age 54 of Limon Colorado passed away Saturday, October 13, 2007 at his home in Limon.
Jim was born September 7, 1953 in Omaha, Nebraska the only son of James Donald and Helen Ruth (Speer) Clement. Jim attended school in Limon before entering the United States Navy in 1975 and serving in the submarine service as a missile technician. He attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer and served several ports of call including Hawaii, Bremerton, WA, Virginia Beach, VA and Kingsbay, GA.
Following retirement from the Navy Jim was employed by Mountain View Electric since 2000. He was a member of the Limon Rotary Club and enjoyed working in his yard and on his home. Jim was an eagle scout and received the God and Country Award. Jim was baptized and confirmed at age 9 in Episcopal Faith and was a member of the Chapel of the Resurrection Episcopal Church in Limon.
Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Jim is survived by his parents James and Helen Clement of Limon, CO, His wife Linda, a daughter Nikki and husband Frank Munoz and their children Daniel, Chloe, Analise, and Brandon of Lemoore, CA, three stepchildren; Jeremiah, Misty and Marji , 4 grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren. Also surviving are uncles Ed Speer of Colorado Springs, CO, and Leon and wife Mildred Speer of Vernon, TX and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Limon with Pastorâs Frank and Linda Hoover, Officiating. Burial with full military honors will be held following at the Pershing Memorial Cemetery in Limon.
Public visitation will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2007 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Love Funeral Home in Limon.
