Mr. and Mrs. Clement, I wish to express my sincere condolences for the death of your son. I hadn't seen him since high school, but I still remember him. I am as impressed today as I was back then that he was an Eagle Scout. My parents, Cody and Helen Pearson from Hugo, have lost 2 daughters, and it is very sad. My thoughts are with you. I have two nephews who became Navy SEALs, and the Navy is dear to my heart. I appreciate the service that Jim gave to our country. He was a fun guy! Sincerely, Norma Pearson Anderson

Mr. and Mrs. Clement & Linda, I am another person who feels blessed and fortunate to attend school and be involved in life with Jim. Jim had an energy and zest for life and was open to anyone to talk and have fun. Years have passed far too quickly and I have not had the opportunity to refresh many enjoyable memories with Jim and there were many. We hope that the comfort and peace that God is able to provide will ease your heartaches in the coming days.

Good Evening, I saw the obituary of Jim Clement in the Gazette on Tuesday. I met Jim at Camp Alexander around 1969. He was working as a counselor. I had him for several classes and we became friends. He was easy to make friends with. In those days I thought Limon was a world away. We traded letters several times after camp, although we never saw each other again. He had written me after he received his Eagle Award. He was a great role model. Several years later I too received the Eagle Award. It was Jim who inspired me to this challenge. I thought about him often through the years and wondered what became of him. I worked with Wes Beale for some years and he remembered Jim and Mr. and Mrs Clement. Sadly the last time I was in Limon was for Wes's funeral It makes sense that Jim was in the Navy. I am sure he was a fine military man. I am sorry I could not attend the service, but I thought that it was important that you know that he made a difference in my life even with such a brief encounter. I feel proud to have known Jim Clement. With deep sympathy Bill Bottini he

I just heard about Jim's passing last night. I am so sorry I couldn't make it to his service and to Jim, Helen and Linda for your loss and to this rest of his family. This was such a shock to me and makes me very sad. I talked to Jim a couple of years ago and thought I'd see him at homecoming this year but unfortunately I didn't. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time.
