You've been on my mind a lot lately. I wish I could pick you from my dreams and hug you for real! We had been friends for so many years and I am so sorry I fell down on my job...when I finally found you again you were gone! I miss you Jo, I hope you know how much I love you!!
You've touched my life in so many ways that made me a better person and for that I will be eternally grateful.
Matthew 11:28 says:
Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.
Rest my dear, dear friend and know you are loved and truly missed!

I started to email you today...I went to pick up the phone to call you...I don't know where to start. How do I begin a farewell when I still can't believe you're gone? How do I say goodbye to a part of my soul? It is hard for me to believe you're gone, my primary influence, sustainer, supporter and wisest counselor has left me physically.
On the surface, my mother, Jo Kay, would not impress some as an extraordinary person. She was a loving wife and mother, a caring homemaker, a good and kind soul. But beneath her mortal cover, my mother was truly remarkable in many ways. In her heart was excessive love, unyielding faith and the courage of a thousand armies.
I know my mom would not want us to be sad today, though it is impossible to let her pass without many, many tears. But please pledge with me today, because I know she would want it this way - remember her only in joy and happiness. That is the gift she leaves for all of us.
I'd like to leave you all with this quote, by Helen Keller. She said, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart"
IF, by the end of her life, my mother ended up touching all of your hearts ----then I ask you, what else can anyone ask for in this world, but to touch people's hearts. Thank you, Mom.

Her eyes were like piercing sapphires, her laughter was of the infectious kind, her wit was sharp and quick. If you knew her you loved her, and now like me are feeling the void. Mon Ami, may you rest in Peace.

Jo, in the time of your passing, you epitomize a quote I'll repeat for it reminds me of you...
If you spend all your time worrying about dying, living isn't going to be much fun. You were always looking for ways to make things fun, and I appreciate that about you. I'm going to miss you and your laughter. Love ya, Shane
