Uncle Bill was always a hard worker a good provider and a kind man who put up with us kids visiting and playing in the barn. If there are cows in heaven, I'm sure he's having a great time watching them and he's probably put a goldfish in the stocktank. These are the memories of 40 years ago, good memories of a good man.

My Dad bought a lot of feed from Bill. I remember his favorite word to use at that time was "Dadgum" or "Dadgumit". Later I drove a semi-truck for a neighbor and hauled alfalfa bales to different places. It was always a pleasure to haul bales from Bill because they were tight, heavy and uniform. You could make a stack look pretty nice. And as far as I could tell they were put up right and didn't mold. Bill always knew you when he met you on the street, and I always enjoyed visiting with him.

I always enjoyed Mr. Koeller when he came into the FSA office. He was such a kind man. He surely will be missed.
