Obituary of Angel Baeza
Longtime Burlington, Colorado resident Angel Baeza passed away on July 26, 2010 at the Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital in Burlington. He was 76 years old.
Angel was born on October 1, 1933 in Guadalupe, Victoria, Mexico to Sylvester Baeza and Josefa Carrasco. He was one of seven children. He attended school up through the 6th grade in Mexico. In June of 1957, he married Maria Luisa Baeza. To this union six children were born.
Angel worked most of his life as a farmer and rancher. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Angel was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Esther Baeza and one nephew Manuel Baeza.
He is survived by his wife Maria, six children; Mary Baeza of Mexico, Rita Mandis of Burlington, Colorado, Maggie Holdsworth of Grand Junction, Colorado, Angel Miguel Baeza, Jr. and his wife Heather of Burlington, Colorado, Carmen Cereceres and her husband Jorge of Denver, Colorado, Marina Marroquin and her husband Gabriel of Denver, Colorado; sixteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers Tibursio Baeza and his wife Emma of Texas, and Jamie Baeza of Mexico City, Mexico; and three sisters Corina Vasquez of Mexico, Amparo Meza and her husband Ruben of Chihuahua, Mexico and Sylvia Baeza of Chihuahua, Mexico.
