Obituary of William Thomas Sr
William Wayne Thomas Sr., 68 of Hugo, Colorado passed away at Lincoln Community Hospital on November 21, 2010.
William was born on March 15, 1942 in Wesleys Chapel, FLorida to John L. and Alice(Edwards) Thomas one of seven children. He went to school through the 10th grade and worked as a ranch hand for the Anchlote River Ranch about eight years. "Butch" then worked for Don and Ruth Hendricks in Simla, Colorado and worked the Lasater Ranch in Matheson, Colorado. From there the family moved to Hugo, Colorado where he retired.
William was married in Land O Lakes, Florida on March 15, 1980 and the couple had two children. The marriage later dissolved.
He loved to fish and hunt, tie flies for fly fishing William really enjoyed interacting with people and had a great sense of humor. He considered it a bad day if he didn't make someone laugh. William could and would talk to anyone.
William was preceded in death by his mom and dad, brother, Albert Thomas and sister, Nalma Foster.
He is survived by his son, William Thomas Jr. of Leota, Kansas and daughter, Laurel Thomas of Simla, Colorado. William is also survived by his sister, Ida Mae Robinson of Stuart, Florida, brother, Lamar and wife Nancy of Okeechobee, Florida, brother, J.L. Thomas of Stuart, Florida and brother Bobby and wife Shirley of Zolfo Springs, Florida, and many many nieces and nephews.
