daddy is Missed - February 1, 2012
Posted: February 1, 2012 | Last Revised: February 1, 2012
Well it has been 1 year and the best man in my life(my Dad) is gone. His smile and love is still around me. He asked me to please watch over mom and do not let her be alone. Well I have did that, family was so important to him and we will still be close. My life has been busy this last year and I have had to look and reach up to heaven for his help and support. And he has been there just like he told me he would be. He will never be forgotten. He wanted everyone to go on with life I have but he has and will be with me always. He had the courage to face and do what he wanted and he passed that I to me.
This is for you Daddy. I love and miss you alot. There was times that led into days, years that I was away from you and Mom. I regreat that but I am glad that I made it back to you before it was late. I know that you are still looking down on me because sometimes when I need a little bit of help I can feel you or hear a word from you. I LOVE YOU your daughter Sharonx

My day - January 15, 2012
Posted: January 16, 2012 | Last Revised: January 16, 2012
Today I accepted The Lord, Jesus Christ as my savior. The last couple weeks I've thought about my Grandpa alot. Wishing I was by his side. But he told me that we will be there for me and the Good Lord to. I went to church this morning never cross my mind to accept the Lord today. But after the service I felt somebody pushing me. I know that it was Grandpa and God saying it's time. I went up and asked the Pastors wife "What do I need to do to accept the Lord." She took me to the office we read some Versus then she prayed for me and then I prayed for myself. As I was praying I felt the heaviness that was on my chest go away. Not only I did for me, I did it for you Grandpa. I will see you in heaven someday. Love you so much. Thank you for looking down on me and helping me get threw the days.
Tonya.

Grandpa - March 26, 2011
Posted: March 26, 2011 | Last Revised: March 26, 2011
To my dearest Grandpa,
I don't know were to start, hear I go......... from when I can remember you always picked on me and I did the same thing to you like when I told you that you were going bald and you always said and i quota "Well you now I pluck it from my butt and put it on my head but I still can't get it to stay on there."
I remember one time when you took me to work and you stopped in the middle of the road to pike up a dime that was on the road you always saw money on the road and you would stop and get it.
At my wedding you had your right arm in a cast but it did not stop you from being who you are. You didn't care what people said about how you act that is why I love you!!!! Even towards the time God was getting ready to take you home you wanted me to get my butt whooped and I did!
My kids will always know who you are even though you are not here on earth your legend will live on. I will always love you and know I will miss that ornery look that you gave everyone.
Love,
Sandi Jo Miller

Jessie We all loved Leonard so much. He always took me to sat. night dances until I was old enough to drive or go on a date, thank you Leonard. My kids always called Uncle Leonard (big bear) they loved his gruffness and teasing. We will miss him, but know he is in a better place. Someday we will be singing with him in Heaven "Victory in Jesus". Love you Catherine and Family

Fishing
Posted: February 24, 2011 | Last Revised: February 24, 2011
I loved going fishing and going camping with my grandparents. Grandpa was the one who taught me how to bait the hook and how to be patient. But wait before we went fishing we had get the worms. Yes when it rained we went out at dark with our flashlight in hand and ready to get the nightcrawlers that was laying around on the ground. He showed me that you have to be fast to get those things. Then in the bucket they went for us to use. We would go night fishing. I loved that time with a great man. Everytime I go out fishing I will remember the man that taught me how much worm to put on the hook. Love you grandpa and Happy fishing.

Leonard's work ethic - February 22, 2011
Posted: February 22, 2011 | Last Revised: February 22, 2011
We had the good fortune to be neighbor's of Leonard and Jessie while we lived in Limon from 2004 to 2007. Leonard and Jessie managed the home we rented and we recall our visits with them at their home or our's. Leonard never ceased to amaze me by taking on odd jobs with repair work or maintenance of the property's Jessie and he managed. he took pride in his work and made sure the job was done right the first time. He wouldn't quit until the job was finished. But he never let work interfere what was important to him. He made time for his family and friends and and our visits with Jessie and him were always pleasant. Leonard will be missed, but we know that he his with his Creator and the lives he touched while here have blessed many people.

My life with a GREAT MAN
Posted: February 4, 2011 | Last Revised: February 4, 2011
wAs I got older I realized I was being raised by a Great father and mother. I loved going to the dances just to hear him play. All of use kids would dance and request songs just like the adults. As I got older I relized that papa was a great man with a kids heart. He would play with all of use kids. I liked playing with the electric race cars with him and my brother (girls cant drive). As I got older he taught me how do so many different things. The ones that stand out the most is how to be a man and how to show people respect. I enjoyed fishing with papa I would tangle my line and went to him for help. He made fun of the situation and helped me fix the line. When I played sports in school him and mom were there. During my wrestling time as a senior I could here him yelling pin him. At the state meet the coach let him sit at mat side. ONE OF THE PROUDEST MOMENTS OF MY LIFE. When we went hunting the man was he good. He taught me how to be quiet and look for the game instead of waiting for it to come to me. Thats hunting! I enjoyed working on lawn mowers and all the other items he would get. Boy did I learn a whold bunch of new words. But he would get it done. Papa could touch people in a way that would change there out look on life. PAPA IM VERY GREATFUL TO GOD FOR GIVING ME A GREAT FATHER, TEACHER, LISTENER AND MOST OF ALL MY BEST FRIEND. I LOVE YOU PAPA, your son Leroy
