A Positive Role Model - March 15, 2011
Posted: March 15, 2011 | Last Revised: March 15, 2011
I first had the amazing privilege of meeting Grant as our bus driver during softball season a few years ago. Grant was upbeat, positive, and very supportive of our athletes during the time we got to know him. He very quickly became "the favorite bus driver" of our team because of his love of life demeanor and chuckle he would give when reviewing the pre-trip directions to the girls. The girls' favorite line was when he told them to watch out for flying debris if they had to evacuate the bus. Every time he recited this, a girl would ask, "What's debris?" Grant would give a smile and chuckle and then explain! He quickly found a way into all of our hearts and became a special part of our Limon softball family! Thanks for the memories Grant and for being such a positive role model for the young athletes in our school!

finding a good friend
Posted: March 1, 2011 | Last Revised: March 1, 2011
In 1983, Grant and I worked together at Martin Meretta.
at this time my marriage was going through a breakup. Grant noticed I seemed to be down and got some of the story out of me and wound up inviting me to set up my camper on his land and stay there until I got my head somewhat together. While most folks agree my head is still somewhere out in space, this time I spent living with Grant and his family was probably the most blessed period of my life. During this time I returned to trusting God for my needs, and I gained a loving family, although I had to return the family,[he never intended I keep them] and I wound up moving to Wichita, ks. I still try to maintain my relationship with God and try to live my life in a Godly way as shown to me by my loving friend, Grant robison. While everything points to my being earthbound for some time to come, I know where Grant is now and look forward to what he will show me when I get there. as I said when I was last at your home, I love you and have missed you from day one I left you.
