I was saddened to hear of Dick passing away. I got to know Dick My family came to know him and his family. One of my fondest memories of Dick was when I was pregnant with my 1st son and we were out at Lakeside Speedway in the pits. My ex-husband and Dicks son built the race car that was racing. Anyway Dick picked me up and placed me on the top of a truck so I could see the race better. He was always a gentleman. I love his family and think that Jane is one of the sweetest ladies. I will always have great find memories of Dick and I love his family. I am thinking of you Jane, Dan and Deana as I know this is probably very difficult for you all. Jane I will come out to Hugo and visit you soon. Love ya Carla

Janie, We are sorry not to be at Richard's service as Diana was ill that day. Richard was an assett to Hugo and will be missed even though I didn't see him much. He was always kind and had a smile although I wasn't sure he knew who I was really. Our hearts go out to you in your time of grief and sorrow. We pray that God will hold you in the palm of His hand and give you peace and comfort. You have our deepest sympathies, love and prayers.a

I met the Gossett family when I was 16 and started elk hunting with the "wild bunch". You couldn't have asked for a better group of buddies or their family. I have missed their company over the years but have always thought about everyone. Dick will be missed by everyone that knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with all.

Janie & Family,
You will never know how much we will miss Richard. It was always great to have the impromptu card games, not to mention the cherry pie and ice cream and Richard's special cake. So sorry we can't be there but we will be there in spirit. Hugs to all of you.

Camping with Janie & Richard in CO mtns - June 21, 1962
Posted: March 13, 2011 | Last Revised: March 13, 2011
We two couples each had a son that was under a year old. We left them with their grandparents and embarked in a camper on Dad Parker's pickup to the Rocky Mountains. We traversed roads that we should never have been on. Even had to go on a power line road in order to get back to Turquoise Lake since we did not have enough gas to go back where we came from.Janie and I hiked lots and the guys fished. One evening when they came back with some "supposed fish for supper", they both had on the loudest plaid walking shorts with their cowboy boots and hats and fishing poles. We all laughed till we cried. I cherish the picture I have of them.
Another time Jack and Richard went antelope hunting and came home early, not with an antelope each, BUT a fine each from the game & fish. A bit spendy day.
We so remember the time they came to Idaho for Christmas and nearly froze going home as their car ran out of gas. Richard hitched a ride with a hippie in an old beat up jalopy. Janie thought she might never see him again.
