So sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. When someone you love dies, it leaves an empty spot in your hearts which could never be filled by any other person. What a wonderful gift we have from God in memories. When you close your eyes, you can see and remember your mother just as she was when she was happy and healthy. Soon, in a new world of God's making, all pain, suffering and sickness will be gone forever, Revelation 21:3, 4. Until then, I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Drowning in the Pool
Posted: April 1, 2011 | Last Revised: April 1, 2011
I'm not sure of the date, but our moms took Mary and I swimming at a public pool. We were both very young. I was around 5 and Mary was around 8 so I looked up to her. Anyway, we were at the pool and I followed Mary while our moms stood back and watched us. So, Mary jumps in the pool in about 3 feet of water, so, of course, I jump in right after her. The only water I had ever been in was a little blow up pool at home with about 6 inches of water, so I panicked. I was flailing around under water and scared to death. Mary pulled me out, and, I said something like "get me out, I'm drowning!" and started to cry. Mary said you were only in 3 feet of water all you had to do was stand up". About that time, our moms came over and were laughing their heads off, which made me mad, so being the brat I was I wouldn't go back in the water. Mary got in the deeper end and swam and showed off for a while and had me laughing the rest of the afternoon.
She always had a kind heart and turned my tears into laughter. I looked forward to visiting her and her visiting me when we were kids.

Stephanie, Rachel and Amanda,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a very special lady and a good person. We were close as kids and she was always so kind and sweet to me.
I am so sorry I could not come to her service, but will keep a place in my hear for both you guys and your mom.
