Obituary of Mildred Peters
Mildred Mae Ferrier was born August 15, 1923 to Joseph and Dora Ferrier in Elk Creek, NE. She passed away on May 7, 2011 from a long battle with alzheimers and many other illnesses.
Mildred grew up in Missouri with many brothers and sisters. On November 15,1943 she married William G Peters in Conway, MO. They moved to Burlington shortly after and started there life together. Mildred worked along side her husband, Bill after they purchased the Stratton Sale Barn until 1954. They then farmed and ranched through the years until retiring in 1982.
Mildred had been a member of First St. Pauls Lutheran Church for many years. She loved to keep her garden and can fruits and vegetables, she also enjoyed sewing, playing cards and having a good time.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Barnes (Burlington), step daughter Marcia Kliesen and her husband Roger of Stratton, grandkids Eric Richardson and family, Kim Richardson and family, Delbert Richardson and family, Carey Barnes and family, Scelee Blake and family, and many more.
Preceding her in death are husband, William G Peters, daughter Sandy Lord, and son-in-law Oby Barnes.
Mildred will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving mother and
grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all.
