We first was neighbors with Chief and his family in Aurora, CO. He was very kind, soft spoken, always ready to help a person. We have always loved Chief and will look for him and his wind ponies in the sky. His family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time. Kathy & Jim Root

I worked with Chief for many years, he was a patient man, but a force to be recon with. He was firm and honest and took no guff from anyone. His work ethic was getting the job done and not afraid to step on toes. I respected this man and will always be grateful to him for helping me and making my job easier. He was the Chief. With my deepest sympathies to his family. Sincerely Richard c.Sandoval

I am writing to express my sincere condolences to the family & friends of Emmett Longbone. My name is Rudy Ornelas, I am the eldest grandson of Grandpa Ray & Grandma Julia Longbone. As a young boy I had the pleasure of meeting "Chief" on a few occasions as he passed through Colorado. Sitting here thinking about the times Grandpa Ray talked about his youth and his older brother Emmett fishing and being kids, I know he is now having a good time with my Grandpa Ray in Heaven. They're probably listening to tribal music the way Grandpa Ray did when I was a kid. We were fortunate to have had such good men be our guiding light and now our guardian angels. They are together now and at peace with the Lord. They will continue to watch our families from above. May God bless each and every one of you as you go through these trying times!! Long live the Shawnee Delaware tribe and descendents!! (I hope the name is spelled correctly)
Sincerely,
Rudy Ornelas

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of "Chief" Longbone. I am the grandaughter of Julia Longbone and Raymond O'Dell Longbone (Chief's younger brother)My name is Louise and I was also called "Little Ray". I had the pleasure of meeting Chief on a few occasions and remember him as a pleasant and delightful man, just like my grandpa Ray. My thoughts and prayers are sent to Chief's loves ones. It is hard to lose such good men as the "Longbone" brothers, but it is comforting knowing that they are no longer suffering and are now our guardian angels. Until we see them again in heaven, they will talk to the Lord Jesus as he guides us through our lifes journey's. May the Lord give your family comfort at this time, as my grandpa Ray and the Lord Jesus have welcomed Chief home.
Love,
Louise M. Cortez
