Obituary of Verlin Taylor
Biography
Verlin V. Taylor was born on September 4, 1939 in Burlington, Colorado to Vaughn and Aletha (Wood) Taylor. He passed away on September 27, 2011, at the age of 72, at his home, where he had homesteaded some 40 plus years ago, south of Burlington.
He grew up and attended school in Bethune, Colorado, and graduated from Bethune High School in 1957.
Verlin enjoyed spending his spare time doing woodworking, leather crafts, gardening, and planting trees.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter Lynn Taylor Curtis from Phoenix, Arizona, in April 2011.
He is survived by his daughter Michelle Fassbinder and her husband Jerry of Guttenberg, Iowa, four grandchildren; Krystal Parker of Dubuque, Iowa, Ryan Parker of Dyresville, Iowa, Jena Meisner and her husband Zach of Millville, Iowa, and Zachary Taylor of Phoenix, Arizona, one great granddaughter Rylee Meisner and one on the way. He is also survived by two sisters Linda Barnhart and her husband Delvin of Burlington, Charlene Robinson of Burlington, one brother Arthur Taylor of Phoenix, Arizona, 6 nieces and nephews and 6 grand nieces and nephews, and a special friend Myrtle Olive of Idalia, Colorado.
Verlins wish was to be cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
