Obituary of Freedom Heyne
Freedom Nicole Heyne, age 28 of Burlington, Colorado passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in Kit Carson County, Colorado. She was born December 20, 1983 in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Theadore Edward and Patricia Irene (Thompson) Heyne. Her family moved to Colorado when she was ten months old. She attended school in Longmont, CO. and attended high school in Boulder, CO. She graduated with her G.E.D. from Emily Griffith Opportunity School. She also attended and graduated from Barbizon Modeling School. Currently, she was attending Morgan Community College working on an Associate of General Studies as well as a Certification in Drug and Alcohol Counseling.
She was also currently studying and working as a Victim Advocate with the Wellness Foundation of Lincoln County. She was beginning work with Colorado Organization for Victim's Assistance as an intern. She also worked part-time as a personal care provider for the elderly which she was very passionate about. She was a dance instructor at Curves in Burlington. Her most important occupation was that of mother to her children. She also loved her home and family life. Freedom enjoyed crocheting and house plants. She attended the Christian Church of Burlington, Colorado. Freedom overcame many obstacles in her life and tried her very best to live this life on earth. Freedom had a warm spirit and trusted everyone that came into her life. She will be missed by her precious daughters, nieces, and nephews that she loved very much. Her many friends and family will miss her dearly.
She met Mike McDonald in Boulder, Colorado in 1999 and to them Myah Lillian McDonald, her oldest daughter, was born in 2000. Mike remains her friend, confidant, and close family member to this day.
In October of 2004, she married Noel Montez and to them Kaylin May Heyne and Theadora Irene Heyne were born.
Freedom is survived by her spouse Noel Montez; her mother, Patricia Irene Thompson (Kirk) of Arriba, Colorado, three daughters, Myah Lillian McDonald, Kaylin May Heyne and Theadora Irene Heyne; three brothers, Michael Donovan Thompson, Theodore James Heyne (Christina) and Jesse Heyne (Yesica); and one sister, Ashliyah Thompson, grandparents Linda Gibson-Wendt (Sonnie), Ron Thompson, (Joyce), Nieces, Aurora Thompson,(Michon, Lianna,) Elizabeth Harmon, Addison Heyne, Nephews, Jesse Patrick Heyne, Jonathon Heyne, Kacey Heyne, Caden Harmon, Donovan Thompson, and Harley Thompson. Her aunts, Rhonda Crane (Robert), Susan Collins, Coleen Thompson, Hillary Thompson, Leona Becker (Sis), Her Uncles Vern Thompson, Donnie Thompson (Karen), Paul Thompson, Jason Odell, Charles,McKyle, and Her cousin Joshua Crane.
She is preceded in death by her father, Theodore Heyne; Stepgrandfather Larry Wendt, her grandmother, Virginia Kruse; her cousin Lacey Lynn Crane, her great grandparents Don and Lillian Hennessey, and Cleon and Dorothy Thompson.
