I am so sorry for your loss. May "the God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) comfort and soothe your heart. His promises, found in the Holy Scriptures, can offer much hope. It assures us at John 5:28,29 that our loved ones will be remembered and brought back to life in the resurrection. Please allow God's Word to strengthen you and help you to endure this most difficult time.

Dean was a man with a vision and was humble in his knowledge about farming and cattle. His institutional memory will be missed by the conservation district. Our prayers are with you all.

In sympathy in the loss of your loved one. You never are alone, you know, when sorrow comes your way for there are those whose thoughts and prayers are with you every day ... and though a loss as great as yours is very hard to bear, still may it help a bit to know that others really care.
Praying that cherished memories will bring you comfort now and in the days to come.

Yvonne, Karen, Vincent, Cheryl, Myron and Marlene and families -- Our hearts go out to you in the loss of your father, who I know you will sorely miss, as we all will. Uncle Dean occupies a special place in my heart and I have such vivid memories of my younger years growing up just down the road. I wish we could be there for the service, but please take comfort in knowing we are praying for all of you, and we know you will be surrounded with the love of other family and friends.
Love and Prayers,
Darwin and Donna

Lots of prayers and hugs are being sent to the entire Sams family.
Dean was such a caring and compassionate man. He always took the time to say hi and ask how were things going to anyone he would meet. He truly cared about all.
His winning nature will truly be missed by all.
Although this is a time of sadness, it is also a time for thankfulness for all of us to have known Dean Sams.

The "HIDDEN FORD"
Posted: February 9, 2012 | Last Revised: February 9, 2012
I will never forget Dean Sams. He was like a dad to me after losing mine when I was 13. His daughter Marlene has been my best friend for over 45 years. I have lots of memories of staying at their home sometimes for days at a time because us best friends couldn't be apart you know. I always got to ride with Dean and the family to ball games whether near or far, I was always welcome along. When I was 13 I became ill and had to travel to Denver everyday for treatment. Dean and Marlene took me on too many occasions to keep track of. Their family was always there for us. He once hid a "FORD" Mustang, yes I said Ford, in his shop. It was a surprise for our daughter and he loved being a part of that, but never did let me forget that I was very lucky he let me park a Ford even on his property. I have years of memories of Dean and the Sams family and wanted to share these special times. I love you Dean and Martha, what a happy reunion for you to share.

jDear Yvonne and family,
I just finished watching the Cattlemen news clip of your dad that aired on December 7, 2010. God has blessed you and your entire family with the gift of a godly man, son, brother, husband, dad, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. May God give each of you strength and comfort that only comes from a loving Abba Father. May His grace be sufficient for such a time as this.
My prayers are with you.
Love,

Yvonne and Family,
Yvonne, I learned to love your father through your stories of his life and you growing up in a loving home. I also came to appreciate him as we stood by the U.S.S. San Saba plaque at the National Museum of the Pacific War and you shared his visit to the museum and the pride he had for this country as he left you and your Mom to serve our country. We were both blessed to have our parents present in our lives for many, many years and I know those memories are so precious to you. Also, I know you are rejoicing in knowing that he and your Mom are with our Heavenly Father. My prayers will be with you and the family as you prepare for the service.
Love,
Kay

Dear Myron & Family,
My sympathies to you all in your loss. While I did not know your Father extremely well, I can tell you I had the utmost respect for him and the manner in which he lived his life. He reminded me of my own Father in many ways, and always appreciated my visits with him. Please draw close to God during this time of loss.
Warmest regards,
KIPP PARKER
