Obituary of Randy Frihauf
Randy Lee Frihauf was born August 15th, 1959 to Robert and Jeannie Frihauf in Greeley, CO. He passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Presbyterian St. Lukes Hospital in Denver, CO. He was the oldest of four children, he has two sisters, Debbie and Michelle, and a brother Ben, who was 11 years younger. For the first 11 years of Ben`s life he was Randy`s shadow. He spent the first 14 years of his life living in Wiggins, CO. Then his family moved to Cope, CO. He attended high school at Arickaree High, where he wrestled and played football.
Randy then attended Devry Institute in Phoenix, AZ in the electrical engineering program. He came back to Cope, CO and attended NJC for automotive mechanics.
Randy married Kristy Lehrkamp January 3rd, 1981 in Fort Collins, CO. Their three children Toneille, Joshua, and Tyson were his pride and joy. Then came his grandchildren Kaitlenn, Luxi, and Swae Witzel. Keygon Frihauf, Zaco Frihauf, and a grandson due in May, became the joy in his life. Randy never missed any activities his children and grandchildren were in. Frequent trips with his grandchildren were adventures he always looked forward to.
After moving to Burlington Randy was employed by Vince`s GM center for 20 plus years, as a mechanic and service manager. He spent the past six years as field superintendent for Schaal Drilling Company, where Rueben & Linda Schaal and his crew became a second family.
Randy enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, reading, attending auctions, and he collected many treasures. He took great pride in his yard and had the straightest mowing lines in town.
Randy was a very kind man, who was highly respected by everyone who knew him. He loved to tease, had a dry sense of humor, and enjoyed playing jokes especially on people who he cared deeply for. Randy had a very gruff and deep voice, but a huge loving heart. Randy will be dearly missed.
