Obituary of Ronald Parker
Ronald Levi Parker, 86, of Karval, Colorado passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, April 16, 2016.
He was born on September 21, 1929 to Alfred E. and Hazel M. (Gibson) Parker in Karval, Colorado. Ronald grew up in Karval attending and graduating from Karval High School.
Ronald married Daisy Ann Taylor and the couple were blessed with three children; Dean, Nola and Tammy. They raised their family on the farm/ranch enjoying the wide open spaces and caring for livestock.
Ron was a Charter Member of Lions Club, 4-H Leader and strong supporter, was President of the Soil Conservation and a member of the Lincoln County Cattleman’s Association. He enjoyed watching High School Sports teams, the Denver Broncos, was a baseball coach and fan and enjoyed water skiing and ice skating. He enjoyed his family and community.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, John Thornton and four brothers.
He is survived by his children; Dean Parker of Karval, Colorado, Nola and Lenny Stone of Flagler, Colorado and Tammy and Jeffrey Thornton of Karval, Colorado. Ron is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and numerous friends and neighbors.
