Obituary of Lois Goldsberry
Lois Ida (Crabb) Goldsberry age 72 of Strasburg, Colorado passed away Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Aurora Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. She was born August 11, 1940 in Genoa, Colorado the daughter of Glenwood W. and Leola F. (Tanner) Crabb.
On December 22, 1956 Lois was united in marriage to Kenneth Dale Goldsberry in Limon, Colorado. They shared over fifty-four years of marriage before Kenneth passed away on February 6, 2010. To this union they shared three sons; Billy, Danny, and Gary.
Lois was a proud and devoted wife and mother of her household. She was always sewing and making clothes for her family and friends. She also knit, crocheted, macramé, and quilted many blankets and other items for her family. Lois taught these skills to many youth (4H and Girl Scouts) as well as her grandchildren. Many a fine quilt and doily are enjoyed by family and friends alike. She even had her own seamstress business where she made dresses and was sought after for her skills. Lois and Dale were actively involved in Little League youth baseball, by having fundraisers, building and prepping the fields, and cheering the teams on. She was heavily involved in the Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion. Many Fourth of July fireworks shows and Turkeyshoots were enjoyed by many from the efforts put forth as a part of the community. She enjoyed puzzles to help her stay limber in the advancing stages of Arthritis, played bingo, and later in her life she learned how to operate her computer - solitaire never had a chance.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents; Glenn and Leola, her husband, Dale, one brother, Norman Crab, and two stepsisters, Sharon McFarland and Caroline Miller.
She is survived by her three sons, Billy Goldsberry (Doreen) of Strasburg, Danny Goldsberry (Linda) of South Fork, Colorado and Gary Goldsberry (Crystal) of Parker, Colorado; two brothers, Larry Crabb (Susie) and Darrell Crabb (Nina) of Johnstown, Colorado; one sister, Virginia (Dick) of Littleton, Colorado; nine grandchildren; Michael, Chris, Sebastian and Elizabeth Goldsberry; Nathaniel, Tyler and Hannah Goldsberry; Heather Beckman and Melissa MacUmber; six great grandchildren; Sean and Trinity Goldsberry; Clifford and Nicole Goldsberry; Uriah and Muriel Goldsberry.
