Obituary of Phyllis Fox
Phyllis Elizabeth (Levin) Fox, age 77 of Flagler, Colorado passed away Tuesday November 13, 2012 at the Lincoln Community Hospital in Hugo, Colorado. She was born July 31, 1935 in Sublette, Kansas. She was the daughter of Fredrick W. and Gertrude G. (Richie) Levin. She grew up on a farm south of Seibert and graduated from Seibert High School in 1953.
On January 12, 1955 at Treasure Island, California, Phyllis was united in marriage with Robert L. Fox. To this union two children were born, Larry Lee and Laura Lyn. They later divorced but still remain friends today.
Phyllis spent most of her career working civil service jobs and ended her working years as Postmaster at Seibert, CO. Phyllis enjoyed the many places she lived because of her husband Roberts employment with the USMC. She lived in Barstow, CA, Pearl Harbor, HI, Camp Pendleton, CA and Philadelphia, PA. She moved back to Seibert, Colorado in 1971.
She was a member of the VFW Womens Auxiliary, the League of Postmasters and the National Association of Postmasters of the United States. Phyllis enjoyed bowling, throwing horseshoes, yard work, crocheting, baking cookies, traveling, and spending her winters in Arizona. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and she will always remain in the hearts and thoughts of all her family and friends that she loved so much.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Floyd Mock; and three brothers, Melvin, Donald, and Jim Levin.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Laura Lyn Hubbell (Terry) of Flagler, Colorado; son, Larry Lee Fox (Norma) of Scott City, Kansas; two brothers, Fred Levin (Faye) of Roseburg, Oregon and John Levin (Paula) of Dighton, Kansas; sister, Grace Mock of Limon, Colorado; three sisters-in-law, Carol Levin of Seibert, Colorado, Jacque Levin of Seibert, Colorado and Glenda Erwin of Lowry City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Bobbie Jo Hubbell, Beth Ann Hubbell, Ashlee Fox and Luke Fox; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
