I want to extend my condolences to the family. God never intended for us to suffer. He promises to soon do away with all suffering and death for good. He also gives us a hope of being able to see our loved ones again here on earth. Until these promises are fulfilled, may the many wonderful memories bring you comfort in the many days ahead.-Revelation 21:4, Isaiah 25:8, Acts 24:15.

Visiting the Stahleckers
Posted: December 23, 2012 | Last Revised: December 23, 2012
I think it was in May of 81 that Kerry and Sandy married. I have visited many times and every visit has it's own memory. I always enjoyed the morning visits when Kerry would come into the dining room where I would be sitting reading my Bible or the paper. Kerry would sit and we would visit about the Word or local events and just catch up on what was new in Burlington. One visit we had bought a Wii and brought it down and we took video of him boxing on the Wii. That was a lot of fun that day. Kerry's lawn was always perfect and there were times we all got out there to throw the ball around (his nephews kids and the adults). I could always count on a good visit when I would sit next to Kerry. I will certainly miss those opportunities for the future.

Kerry - a very helpful husband and great dad
Posted: December 23, 2012 | Last Revised: December 23, 2012
In talking with my mother, Colleen Weis (also known as Aunt Smokey), she shared the following with me about Kerry:
"Kerry was so good with those kids and always helping Sandy. Sandy's house was always the gathering spot, so it wasn't unusual for large crowds to be there. Always, Kerry was helping her with the food or getting the coffee together. He was such a hard worker and we found him to be very thoughtful by helping out his wife.
One time, we drove out to their place in Bethune, I think that's where was it was. As we got there, Kerry was out on the porch helping Dustin with a project. Dustin must have been in the Cub Scouts and ready for his first car race. There was Kerry, like the good father that he was, just helping make the car for that derby race. That tickled Uncle Buzz, since he is a car man.
Whenever we did get to see Sandy and Kerry, we always visited a bit with Kerry. It seems we both enjoyed talking about his newspaper job. Kerry was such a hard worker, and you just don't find people like that anymore."
In closing, Uncle Buzz and Aunt Smokey extend their heartfelt sympathy and want the family to know they have the kindest thoughts of Kerry and just plainly put: "always liked him"!

Life...so fragile, Loss...so sudden, Heart...so broken... in the wake of such loss, we are haunted by things we dont, and may never understand. Yet the solace we seek may not come from answers. So we look for comfort in the belief of love's everlasting connection. May that love lift you and hold you close, and give you peace.
