Obituary of Pansy Cook
Pansy L. Cook, 77, of Karval, Colorado passed away on January 3, 2013 at the Lincoln Community Nursing Home with her family by her side.
Pansy was born on December 14, 1935 to Lloyd and Geneva (Williams) Thomas, one of 5 children born to the Thomas. The family lived in the Karval area throughout Pansys childhood. She graduated from Karval High School in 1954.
Pansy married William Ray Cook in August of 1968 and to this union Ray was blessed with Pansys with three children. She loved taking care of her husband and children, along with the many children she cared for in their home.
Pansy enjoyed living a simple life in Karval, but was very busy in community activities like; Circle Lamp Lighters, and willing workers. As well as being involved in the local Churches water board and Karval Alumni. She enjoyed watching bull riding, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, playing bingo, reading, old country music but the love of her life was her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Lloyd and Geneva Thomas, Dan Thomas, Laura Betts and Larry Powell.
Pansy is survived by her husband Ray Cook of Karval, Colorado,her children; Thomas and his wife Gail Orsmby of Nampa, Idaho, Krystal and her husband Paul Kinsey of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Samantha and her husband Jack of Karval, Colorado. She is also survived by grandchildren and tons and tons of adoptive grandchildren that she loved so much.
