Obituary of William Lytle
Longtime Burlington, Colorado resident William Bill C. Lytle passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Grace Manor Care Center in Burlington. He was 83 years old.
Bill was born on June 19, 1929 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, to William Raymond and Margaret Ellen (Henry) Lytle. He was one of four children.
Bill grew up and attended school in Canonsburg, and graduated from Canonsburg High School in 1947. After graduating, Bill enlisted in the Army Air Force and served his country for 20 years until retiring in March of 1968. During that time he was stationed in Little Rock, Arkansas, Hawaii and Washington D.C.
Bill was married to Linda Nace. They later divorced. Bill had two sons Denis and Steve Lytle. On September 18, 1978, Bill married Irene Mae Morrow in Denver, Colorado. This marriage brought one more son Scott Martin into Bills life.
Upon retiring from the United States Air Force, Bill worked for the Sundstrand Fluid handling company in Arvada as a computer operator. In 1997, Bill and Irene made their home in Burlington. Bill was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Burlington, and always enjoyed Mens Fellowship Breakfast on Thursdays and Mens Fellowship in Tuesday nights.
Bill enjoyed traveling, making wooden doll houses, collecting baseball hats, reading, studying history and watching football. He enjoyed going to the Senior Center in Burlington and developed many friendships over the years.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law Mike Pollaria.
He is survived by his wife Irene of the home in Burlington, his sons Denis Lytle of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Steve Lytle of Denver, Colorado, and step son Scott Martin and his wife Jaci of Bristow, Oklahoma. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, his brother Robert Lytle and his wife Marge, and two sisters Evelyn Lytle and Janet Pollaria, all of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
