Obituary of Robert Brown
Robert Howard Brown, 77, of Genoa, Colorado passed away on February 19, 2013 after battling cancer.
Bob as everyone knew him was born on May 26, 1935 in Genoa, Colorado to Howard Lincoln and Lucille J. (Miley) Brown one of six children. He grew up in Genoa and attended school through the 8th grade.
Bob married Caroline R. Lappin on October 16, 1976 in Elbert County Colorado and together they had six children. Bob worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Simla, worked for Nichols Tools and the Town of Genoa.
Bob enjoyed woodworking and could craft just about anything out of a piece of wood. He was a member of the Genoa Volunteer Fire Department, he enjoyed going to crafts shows with his wife, Caroline, and he never missed coffee club where he loved to visit with anyone, Bob didnt know a stranger.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Caroline, son Christopher Ray, grandson Tony Cole Mitchell and brother Chester Paul Brown.
Bob is survived by his children; Robert Wayne and his wife Christine Brown of Matheson, Colorado, James Howard and wife Amy Brown of Missouri daughters; Valerie Lynn Skinner of Midway Colorado, Angelia Carmen Hope Brown of Genoa, Colorado and Tina Marie Brown also of Genoa, Colorado. He is also survived by brothers; Oliver Wayne and Marianne Brown of Limon, Colorado and Richard Leroy Brown of Genoa, Colorado and Sister Rosalee Duncan of Hugo, Colorado and Elizabeth J. Brown of Genoa, Colorado Bob is also survived by 15 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
