Obituary of Eileen Johnson
Eileen Joyce Johnson was born on July 10, 1937 in Black Forest, Colorado to Rudolph and Virgie (Dooley) Cole. She passed away on August 18, 2013 at her home in Yoder, Colorado.
Eileen worked for Climax Molybedam Mine from 1962 to 1976. Then on September 18, 1976 she married Gene Johnson in Buena Vista, Colorado and from 1976 through 1994 she worked for AMAX until she went to work for Pikes Peak COOP.
Eileen loved her family and served them well. She enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. She also did a lot of cooking which kept her family happy.
Eileen is preceded in death by her brother; George Cole, father; Rudolph Cole, son; Phillip Lacey and sister; Mavis Condon.
Eileen is survived by her husband, Gene Johnson; her mother, Virgie Cole; her sisters, Adolphine Leming of Gower, Missouri, Sharon Lacey of Yerrington, Nevada and Helen (Bob) Cox of Colorado Springs, Colorado, her children, David (LuAnn) Lacey of Brighton, Colorado, and Ginny (Billy) Poole of Rush, Colorado, Elain (Douglas) Berger of Fort Collins, Colorado, Rick (Sherry) Johnson of Irving, Texas. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, Jeff (Stephanie) Hillis of Ogalla, Nebraska, Jacob (Laura) Johnson of Ft. Worth, Texas, Katlin Johnson of College Station, Texas, Angie (Mark) Winholtz of Ft. Lupton, Colorado, Josh (Mandy) Lacey of Commerce City, Colorado and Chris Evans of Yoder, Colorado. Eileen is survived by brothers-in-law, Henry (Sharon) Johnson of Grand Junction, Colorado and Roy Johnson of La Junta, Colorado and cousin; Shirley Riemenschneider of Hugo, Colorado is also survived by 9 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
