I am just now discovering Miles obituary after surfing through Loves Funeral Homes' archives to see if there was anyone that I might have known. The obituary for my second cousin, Glenn "Andy" Rector, was just posted this week. Please allow me to introduce myself. My mother was Shirley Anne Fenwick Rector, daughter to Lillian and Dick Fenwick of Deer Trail. Marion Davies Norris, Beverly Clark, and my Mother were cheerleaders together in high school. Stephen Davies and I were in third and fourth grade together. My Dad, Everett Rector, and Mom later moved to Lamar, Missouri, in March of 1964. I am sorry to read of your loss. It is never easy to let go of those we have loved and shared with for all those years.

Leader in beef cattle integrated resource management - September 10, 2013
Posted: September 10, 2013 | Last Revised: September 10, 2013
First met Miles at an all-day beef cattle seminar held at Agate some years ago. I was on the CSU Extension team that set up the IRM workshop that day. Was impressed with his insight, wisdom and wit.
God Bless the Davies family and the legacy left by this dedicated agricultural leader.

Jeanne,
It doesn't seem possible! Miles has been an institution for so long in the CO cattle community; part of so many innovative and forward thinking elements of our industry. He was a truly wonderful man and I for one will miss him greatly. My love and prayers to you and your family.

Jeanne: So very sorry to learn about Miles death. He was a wonderful person and so valuable to his community and love of the land.
I remember the first time I met you and Miles
when I first came to the Arapahoe Library District and how gracious you both were to welcome me to the Deer Trail Community.
Take care and know I am thinking of you.

I am so happy to have seen both Miles and Jeanne at the last two Alumnae banquets. Even though Miles had not seen me in 40 or 50 years, he recognized my voice and recalled my name. Some of my fondest child hood memories are of spending time at their house and being their neighbors. Miles has contributed to this life in countless ways. My best to his family.l
