Obituary of Dorothy Isaak
Dorothy Colglazier Isaak celebrated her 100th birthday May 1, 2013. She passed away at Grace Manor Nursing Home November 23, 2013 while playing bingo, something she loved and looked forward to.
As an only child, Dorothy was born on May 1, 1913 to Oscar and Betty Bergen and grew up in Larned, Kansas. At age 23 she married Winchell Colglazier. One son, Fred was born to this union. Winchell passed away October 1, 1976.
In May 1948, the Colglazier family moved to Burlington and joined the First Christian Church which has always been an important part of her life. Not only did she play the piano and organ at the church until 2008 but Dorothy also played the piano for Sunday nursing home services and visited her friends there regularly. She also played many duets with her good friend Willie Sharp.
She then moved into Grace Manor on September 9, 2011.
She served as state president of Christian Womens Fellowship and attended national conventions in Colorado, Jamaica and Seattle, Washington.
In May 1980, Dorothy married the Reverend Rueben Isaak. He passed away on March 18, 1984.
She leaves to mourn Fred and Mary Colglazier, Kelly and Tonja Berry, Michaela, MaKenna, and Emma, Justin and Dalene Colglazier, Jalyn and Conner. Stepchildren, Phil and Judy Graef and son; Troy and Carol Isaak and Ben, Harlan Isaak and family. Very special friends, Chris and Christi Dobler, Wyatt, Sam and Cailey, along with nieces, nephews, families in Rozel, Kansas and a host of friends.
