To Joan's family. Dennis and I saw this in the paper and was surprised and had just spoke with her at the Sable(Airport Blvd) Baptist 50th anniversary celebration. Your mom was always a pleasure to speak with and full of life. Your folks furnished the carpets for the new church there in Aurora. Quietly doing God's work. We as a family from my sister, Ruth Kearney (Gibbs) at the time sewing custom drapes in her basement for your dad's business always felt blessed. May God bless you in life like me blessed us with knowing your mom.
Sincerely,
Dennis and Linda Lee Headrick and families

CAROL BURNETT
Posted: January 7, 2014 | Last Revised: January 7, 2014
Aunt Joan was one of the funniest people I knew. She could always make you smile no matter what kind of a day she was having. I have always described her as Carol Burnett and I think she even looked like her.
People seemed to think I was her daughter which was way cool in my eyes as a child. I am proud to say " I love you Aunt Joan and we will meet again at the Pearly Gates of Heaven." Give Uncle Leon and Gramps and Grams a hug for me. Until then fly high my dear Aunty.

I met Joanie 14 years ago when we were both members of the Breakfast club. What a fun gal she was! She had such a love for the Lord and served Him in many ways. She was so proud of her family and spoke of them often. My prayers are with them.
