Obituary of Charles "Chuck" Polhemus
Charles Carson Polhemus, better known as Chuck, 39, of Simla, Colorado passed away on February 10, 2014.
Chuck was born on February 23, 1974 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Edward and Johnnet Rose (Skinner) Polhemus one of five children born to this union.
Chuck grew up in the Simla area graduating from Simla High School in 1993. He spent the years after graduation farming, ranching and driving truck for the family business. The joy of his life are his three sons; John Carson, Edward Charles and Jason Daniel Polhemus.
He loved to raft with his family, snowmobile, hunting and fishing every chance he got. Chuck loved to do the cattle drive in Grand Junction, Colorado. In High School he made the All State team in football. Chuck did not know a stranger and he could talk to anyone about anything. He was a great influence on all children not just his own three sons.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Johnnet, one brother, Roy, grandparents and Bev Kaley his stepmother -in-law.
He is survived by his sons; John, Edward and Jason Polhemus of Simla, Colorado, his father, Edward Polhemus and special friend Louise Beasley of Simla, Colorado and his three sisters; Christine (Wayne) Brown of Matheson, Colorado, Kathleen and special friend Joe Fisk of Ramah, Colorado and Pauline Polhemus of Limon, Colorado. Chuck is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, many many friends and extended family.
