My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family during this time. I always enjoyed Harold and have been around the family many years starting when Donald and I started first grade in 1948. I remember Harold being on the school board with my dad. He is in a better place. God bless and keep all of family.

May knowing that Harold now rests in peace with our Savior, and the wonderful memories you have of him as a husband, father and grandfather, give you strength in the days ahead.

Good Times! - March 13, 2014
Posted: March 13, 2014 | Last Revised: March 13, 2014
I miss Uncle Harold.
He was a great business man, and always well informed.
I always listened to him when he spoke, because I knew what he had to say was right.
I admire him greatly.
I had a lot of great times at their house on the farm, S.W. of Vona.
The holidays were the best. Thanksgiving and Christmas were great, but the best family gatherings to me, were the summer ones, esp. Independence Day!
There would be an all afternoon feast, with us kids taking turns cranking the ice cream churn for dessert.
Followed by sore arms, and a delicious sense of accomplishment.
It's my first memory of Ice Cream condiments.
Sliced peaches, fresh strawberry's, etc...
Fireworks followed, and back then. anything goes.
Bottle Rockets with report, were a favorite of mine, but it drove Butch,(the dog) crazy.
Uncle Harold and Aunt Rose even had a swamp cooler.
I thought it was the best thing ever!
Uncle Harold and Aunt Rose really stepped in to fill the gap when Mom (Ruth) passed away.
They became our surrogate parents for a time, and they did a great job.
Dad (Forrest) said of Uncle Harold; "That man could overhaul a tractor in a white tuxedo and still look as clean as when he started".
Thanks for the lessons.
See you again Uncle Harold.
Love, Ken

Karen and family,
So sorry about Harold. He will be missed. Nola and him had some good years together. We know he loved her and with her health problems, was very patient and gentle with her. He was big part of our family. He treated the grandkids like his own which was very special. We can all celebrate his full life of 93 years. He is in heaven in his Father's arms, together again with loved ones.
Love Wanda and family
