Obituary of James Pisel
James Pisel of Corrigan, Texas passed away peacefully on June 25, 2016 in Lufkin, Texas at the age of 88.
James was born on April 29, 1928 in Deer Trail, CO to Wesley and Lavina Pisel. He graduated from Deer Trail School in 1946 and worked as a farmer until joining the Air Force during the Korean War. During his time in the Air Force, he met and married the love of his life Esther Ruth Owens and learned his trade as a heavy equipment operator. James plied his trade in Colorado and eventually moved to Texas and retired from Graver Tank and MFG in 1983. In his retirement years, James enjoyed puttering around his property, watching westerns, and playing with his dogs.
James is survived by his daughter, Patricia and her husband Bob Eavenson of Rio Rancho, NM, sons, Judson and his wife Carman Hardee of Lexington, OK and Thomas Pisel of Corrigan, TX, sisters, Linda and her husband James Johnson of Deer Trail, CO and Christine and her husband Randy Roth of Byers, CO and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Esther Pisel of Corrigan, TX, mother, Lavina Beula Pisel, father, Wesley Pisel, stepmother, Shirley Pisel, sisters Leona Allison and Lavina Mae Pisel all of Deer Trail, CO and daughter, Lovinia Rowe of Webster, TX.
A visitation is scheduled for 4:00 PM Thursday June 30, 2016 at Cochran Funeral Home, Livingston, TX, with graveside services to be held 2:00PM Tuesday July 5, 2016 at Evergreen Cemetery Deer Trail, CO.
