Obituary of Carol Robertson

Carol Robertson, 71, of Agate, Colorado passed away August 13, 2014 at her home in Agate. Carol was born in Plains, Kansas on February 15, 1943 to Glenn and Jessie (Shell) Wallace, Carol was one of six children. On February 1, 1964, Carol was united in marriage to Frank Robertson in Limon, Colorado. They shared over forty-seven years of marriage. To this union they shared three children, Lyle, Cindy, and Debra. Carol loved to travel often switching between Branson and Texas throughout the years, but she was most excited to be able to see and travel to Hawaii. She enjoyed spending time camping in the mountains with her family and specifically looked forward to family reunions. Quilting was also a passion, all of her children and grandchildren were blessed with an original quilted work of art. However, as an avid bird watcher, to say it was a passion or hobby wouldn’t capture the true meaning and place it held in her heart. Carol love watching birds, she enjoyed them going about their business in and out of the birdhouses and bird feeders all throughout her yard. Most of all Carol loved her family; it was her greatest accomplishment in life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her and by all who were touched by her gentle spirit. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Robertson and her parents. She is survived by her son, Lyle (Kim) Robertson of Agate, CO; her daughters, Cindy Gordon of Agate, CO and Debra Robertson of Agate, CO. She is also survived by her brothers Glenn (Diana) Wallace of Strasburg, CO; Harold (Janice) Wallace of Byers, CO; Chester (Jannette) Wallace of Agate, CO; and Lloyd (Connie) Wallace of Agate, CO, her sister Faye Thomas of Calhan, CO, six grandchildren Roland (Monique) Gordon, Lori Robertson, Cheyenne Gordon, Colin Talbert, Tori Robertson, Elizabeth Robertson and five great grandchildren.
