My sympathies to the Adolf family for their loss. I was lucky enough to coach Joe in High School and it was a pleasure to work with such an outstanding individual. He had a great work ethic and very strong character. He will be missed by all you knew him!!

I just read about Joe and my heart goes out to Kristen and the family. Please have comfort and hope in God's promise that one day all those asleep in death who are in his memory will live again, only in perfect health and under much better world conditions. (John 5:28, 29;

Posted: August 20, 2014 | Last Revised: August 20, 2014
I'll never forget the first time I spent first time at there house when I was a kid..Had to milk cow..then eat cereal..yes was bad..Next time he told me to tell his mom I was sick so I didn't have to eat it..YES..that worked. 4 wheeler ran into bobwire fence..still have the scares..He jumped right in there and said hold tight.I'll protect you.He did..Billy told his dad we was kissing..Everett laughed and said about time..I love that family..Everett was always telling me when Joey was home.He was always thinking of him..decades later..we found each other again..I must say..He was always talking about his mother..and Sissy..He always wanted better for his sister..I loved Joey..and his family..was like my own.If you didn't spend time with this family..you missed out of a lifetime of memories!I wish I had the chance to go back and spend more time..I will always cherish the times I had with all of them! Except killing and plucking chickens (lois) LOL

To my friend Joe,
How can you put into words about a true friend,From the day we met we became such good friends and as time past by we became like brothers, Through the tuff times and the joyful times we was always there for each other,
We laughed more then should be aloud and raised our fair share of hell. I will truly miss you my friend and know that I shall see each other again in heaven,,, So get the garage ready and set up the circle of trust table because we shall all meet there once again.
Rest in peace my friend , your friend and brother Paul

trouble?? - August 19, 2014
Posted: August 19, 2014 | Last Revised: August 19, 2014
I spent several summers at the farm in Bethune as a kid, getting attacked by peacocks, playing in the stock tank, From sun up to past sundown, we were everything, Uncle Everett would pick us up with his hook by our belt loops and I thought surely every time that he was going to kill us! Staying at Grandma Adolfs, what fun we had. Best times of my childhood, it was always a good break from city living! going door to door selling fictitious "boy scout cookies" to make money. walking up to strangers (there were not many in Burlington)and acted like we knew them for years and wondered why they never knew! lol. cruising Main st, County fair throwing kids in stock tanks. Joe taught me to "show a pig" for the first time. I have so many memories of Joey!!! Although we hadn't spent any time in our more mature years but I still valued him in my heart beyond measure..... I'm going to miss my cousin but I will never lose our memories. I love you Joey!!!

Joe you have touched the lives of so many and we will all cherish the memories that we have of you. You will be missed but at least where you are going you will be in good company...Just make sure our dad's don't start any fights in the bars in heaven...LOL...at least if they do start one this time you can join them and wont have to hide under the table :)I would say that Aunt Norma would be there to bail you all out, but knowing her she would be right there along side you all...LOL I am sure Billy is glad to see his little brother again. Don't let my brother Jack talk you two into anything that will get you in trouble. You all have fun together, you deserve it---Until we all meet again!!! Love Nimbo

When my brother Darin and I were younger, we'd spend our summers rotating between our Grandma Carroll's and our Grandma Adolf's home. During those summers, we had the awesome opportunity to spend time with Billy and Joey. I remember Joey having the biggest smile and between Billy and Joey those two boys weren't afraid of anything. They could tackle a calf, chase down a horse, ride a bull and never seemed to tire out. Joey was my cousin and those memories are all so special to me. Life is often too short for many and this is the case for Joey. We always assumed we'd have more time with him. His death shocked me, but thankfully, our grandparents taught us that God is real and that Heaven is a real place. Joey I'll see you in Heaven one day, but for now I'm mourning your loss. Aunt Lois, Allegra, Kim, Marc and to the rest of my dear family. I am so sorry that Joe is gone, lets make a pac that we will all one day meet again in Heaven always hold onto the faith that was past down to us by our Grandparents. Dear Jesus, we miss Joe, please comfort our hearts and strengthen our faith through all this and bond us together as a family. Amen

I cannot believe you're no longer with us. I still think you're going to walk in the front door at any minute. I am so extremely fortunate to have you in my life for such a short period of time. You were always there for me and had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. Something I always cherished you for. There will always be a void in my life without you. I will hold our memories close to my heart forever! I love you and will miss you tremendously my brother!
