Obituary of Richard Flock
Richard Leon Flock, 75, of Arriba, Colorado passed away August 24, 2014 in Burlington, Colorado with his loving family by his side.
Richard was born on July 21, 1939 in Bovina, Colorado to Raymond and Erma (Tanner) Flock he was one of 7 children.
To say that Richard was an avid outdoorsman would be an understatement. Richard loved being outside hunting and fishing. He earned marksman awards while in the US Marine Corp and carried his love of guns and targets through in his other passion of shooting Trap and Skeet. Although disappointed when they drained Bonny Reservoir it was a minor hurdle in his road to a boat launch as other lakes were found (they were just a little farther to drive to). Richard loved animals and nature. He owned quarter horses until he left Colorado for 18 years to work and retire in California. Richard had many hobbies over the years. Another hobby Richard enjoyed was flying remote controlled airplanes.
Although he was never married, Richard loved his nieces and nephews like they were his own children.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Doris Loss and Juanita Buhring; one brother, Jerry Flock; and a niece, Cindy Flock.
He is survived by his brother, Raymond W. (Shirley) Flock of Stratton, CO; sisters, Roberta (Charlie) Walstrom of Burlington, CO and Karen (Paul) Dusatko of Burlington, CO and numerous nieces and nephews.
