May you find comfort in your many wonderful memories and in the loving support of God and family. Psalm 55:22 has often brought me comfort during times of stress, may it do the same for you.

May I offer my sincere condolences. May your hearts find comfort in God's Word where it states: "He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord will wipe the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25:8) May your loved one awaken to a world where there will be peace, no sickness (Isaiah 33:24), and no more troubles (Revelation 21:4) throughout eternity (Psalm 37:29). May your hearts find comfort and hope in God's Word, family, friends and good memories at this time. My deepest sympathy to you.

My Mother
Posted: October 2, 2014 | Last Revised: October 2, 2014
There are so many memories of my mother but those that immediately come to the surface are the times when we were in the kitchen. Our family had a milk cow and Dad milked it daily and sometimes would separate the cream from the milk. I was probably six years old and I'm sure I wasn't much help, but I remember "helping" Mom make fresh cottage cheese. It seemed like it took all afternoon to make it. Finally it was done and I've never tasted cottage cheese as good as my mother's. Mom also made cream puffs from scratch, yum. I've tried to use the same recipe and it doesn't taste 1/10th as good as Mom's. On the flip side, Mom would make fried bologna far more often than I liked and to this day I can't stand the smell of fried bologna.
Mom loved to play games and in my pre-teen and teen years Mom and I would go to Grandma Brown's and play cards and board games. Those memories are so precious to me as I was able to spend so many hours with my mother, grandmother and aunt.

Rosie and Wayne Sease - September 30, 2014
Posted: September 30, 2014 | Last Revised: September 30, 2014
I was fairly young at the time of this, but this is how I remember it.
Rosie was spending some of the summer at our home (Bill and Jo Alma Nickell). She had caught the eye of our neighbor, Wayne Sease and they had dated for awhile. One evening after spending an afternoon together, Wayne brought Rosie back home and to the door. He went back to his car, but rather than leaving, he stayed in the parked car. He seemed to stay there for a long time, at least for a young kid like me it seemed like a long time.
Finally he came back to the door and asked Rosie to come back to the car with him. She followed him to the car and they were there for a shorter period of time. When she came back inside she had an engagement ring on her finger. I guess Wayne was out there all that time working on his courage.
My dad, Bill really liked to tease the people that he loved and Rosie received her fair share that evening.
