Obituary of Erma L. Elliott

Erma Elliott 1931-2022 Erma Lavonne (Hartleroad) Elliott passed away September 29, 2022 in Hugo, CO at Lincoln Community Hospital. Erma was born August 20, 1931 to Stanley and Arizona Hartleroad. She was the second of six daughters. She always said that she and her family lived in several different houses as her dad worked on several different farms in eastern Colorado. Erma married Robert Elliott in Clayton, New Mexico on October 12, 1948. They were married for 62 years and lived on Elliott Ranch east of Karval, CO. Erma was a dedicated wife and mother who worked hard caring for her husband and five children. For many years she raised chickens to sell, she drove the school bus throughout her children’s school years, she was accomplished at sewing and all types of needlework. Erma was fond of animals, especially her birds and little dogs. She worked diligently in her gardens and enjoyed painting landscapes. Erma volunteered endless hours to school activities and was a member of several local civic organizations. Erma was proceeded in death by her Husband, Robert, an infant son, Ronald, a granddaughter, Alicia Nestor, son-in-law, Gary Nestor, her parents and five sisters. Erma is Survived by daughters Maxine Miller(Mike) of Cheyenne, WY; Janet Ream (Mike) of Greeley, CO; Linda Nestor of Hemingford, NE; sons Richard (Dayla) of Sugar City, CO; Russell (Diana) of Karval, CO; grandchildren Angela Miller-Soden, Jeff Miller, Brian Ream, Tom Ream, Amy Nestor-Boles, Corey Nestor, Blake Elliott, Amber Elliott-Barrat, Misty Elliott-Tichenor, Roy Elliott, Ryan Elliott, Lane Elliott, Keith Crow, Cory Crow, Cody Crow, 29 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
