Obituary of Vera Nina Glass

Vera Nina Glass was born on November 2, 1923 and passed away on June 10, 2022. She was married to G.W. Glass in 1941, where they lived in Texas until 1953 working and living on various ranches. Where they then moved the Glass family from Sweetwater, TX to Limon, CO to manage the Boyd Ranch 2 miles north of Limon for 12 years. They then relocated to the Brooks Ranch 20 miles north of Limon for 12 years managing that ranch as well. After brief stays in Limon & Arriba, G.W. & Vera moved to their final home in Genoa, CO. G.W. & Vera had seven children: Shirley Jolly, Gordan (Buddy) Glass, Troy Glass, Tom & Cathie Glass, Ruth & Rod Blackwelder, Kitty Glass, and Will & Kim Glass. Vera had 13 grandchildren, 39 great/great grandchildren. Vera was preceded in death by; G.W. Glass, two sons; Gordan & Troy Glass, two daughters; Kitty Glass & Shirley Jolly. Vera was very active in taking care of their homesteads and her family. She was competitive playing slow pitch softball, was beating everyone in dominoes, as well as an accomplished bowler. She competed in several state and national bowling events. Vera worked as a Traffic Control Supervisor for 10 years later in life. Mom loved working in the yard with her flowers & plants, her green thumb was an attribute too envy.
