Obituary of Philip Weaver

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Philip Edward Weaver Simla, Colorado on April 8, 2022, at the age of 73 years. Philip was born October 12, 1948, to Truman and Verna Weaver. Philip married his wife Pamela Page July 23, 1968, they had 2 children Dawn and Wade Weaver. Philip worked various jobs throughout his life. He worked for Snow Blast as a mechanic and did snow removal. He worked heavy equipment and drove semi-truck for various companies, was a mechanic for multiple companies and worked at Sofa Mart in the woodshop before he retired in 2008. During the various jobs Phil worked he traveled all over the United States, India, and Alaska. Phil was versed in many jobs and hobbies. He was a great welder, mechanic and woodworker and was able to fix just about anything. Phil enjoyed spending time with his family, having a Busch beer and watching his Westerns on TV. Phil loved to tell stories of his life and adventures. He would tell the stories to anyone who would sit down long enough to listen. He loved to joke around and prank many of his family members. Phil was a romantic as well, he would write love letters to his wife and ensure she had a fancy birthday dinner every year. Phil was a loving man, who loved life. Any time he had visitors he enjoyed every minute of it. Philp was an animal lover. He held a deep love for his dogs, he treasured each the same. He loved to go fishing and most times he had a huge smile even when he didn’t catch anything. Being outside was one of Philip’s favorite things especially when the sun was shining. When anyone spent time with him, he always made them feel so important and listened to everything they had to say. Phil gave the best advice to all who asked him for some. There was never a dull moment if you knew Phil. One thing Philip would want people to remember is to not take time for granted. Never push things off saying tomorrow, when that day may never come. Phil would want everyone to enjoy every moment that they do have. It’s hard to put into words the kind of person Phil was because he was so much to so many. Philip was a legend to our family, a son, a brother, a husband, a father, an uncle, a grandfather, a great grandfather and a friend to so many. With heavy hearts and sadness, the family will never forget the impact and lasting inspiration he left for them.
