Cassie and Sydney, no one can tell you enough how sorry we are for your loss. Gary was such and amazing man and he loved the two of you with all his heart. When we would talk about either of you that man would get a smile and was almost giggling with excitement. He was such an amazing man and so special to so many people, when he met anyone he treated them like he was your friend forever. He was a staple at the County Fair like Ice Cream and funnel cakes. I am praying for you all for your loss, but the only bright side of all this is we will see him again. Love you two. Terry and Lori Harfert

Oh Mr. Gary Paul…my heart hurts for his family and you’ll be in my prayers. I didn’t know Gary for very long, but it sure felt like forever. Every morning at fair he’d be sure to be the first one to my camper just to tell me how beautiful I looked and to make sure we had similar colored shirts. Sure enough almost every day we had matching colored shirts on. One night at fair he told my grandma “If I could choose a granddaughter I’d choose her” I felt the same. I adopted him as family and grew a bond with him that can never be replaced, in just the short 7 days we spent together. Between all our ice cream dates and scootin’ around on the gater we created memories I’ll always cherish. He may be gone, but never forgotten. I’ll miss you and love you always ❤️ Rest easy Gary Paul…

Don and I are so sad that our times together here are things of the past. Don and Gary could spend hours looking at, discussing, visiting about saddles(and eating ice cream at the Fair). We were thrilled to share his wedding day, and knew how happy Gary was with Cassie! He truly LOVED Sydney and Cassie so much. Gary was just an all around "great guy:" his sense of humor, his caring for others, love of 4H, etc. etc. We hope to figure out how to attend his funeral, when Don needs to be at the National Bit, Spur and Saddle Collectors Association's annual show, meeting, and auction in Amarillo. Gary had recently become a member as well! Our sincere sympathy and love to Gary's family!
