Joel was a good and loving person, I was blessed to know him for 30 years, and to work with him and spend good times with him over the last 12 years. He loved his family and friends,his customers and co-workers and Joel was a proud American and Marine.His smile, laugh, helpfulness and kindness will live on in the people he touched. Our deepest condolences go out to Joel's family. My family and I all had the pleasure of knowing Joel through our small family sign business over the last 30 years. We opened our business around the time he started at Denco. Joel was always so helpful and kind during our business interactions. I am a former Marine also, and remember one of my last conversations with him talking about our different experiences while serving in the Corps. Joel will be greatly missed by my wife and I. Semper Fi, brother. I look forward to regrouping with you again at the gates of heaven!

I’ve been blessed to have worked with Joel for over 30 years. It is a profound honor to know his ethic, humor, compassion, and pride that he brought to those around him every day. I had the pleasure of finally meeting Joel in person back in 2019, after having him as a customer since 2007! Joel had a contagious laugh and an unmistakable voice. The way he told stories kept you captivated and wanting to hear another. He was fearless. He was fair. He was honest. He was truly a class act and a broken mold. In 15 years I never caught him in a bad mood. Not a bad word. Not a sad voice. He persisted. He will be sorely missed. I hope the memories of his stories continue to make you laugh and help heal the wound of loss.

Joel and I shared a brotherhood as Marines, and friendship that lasted over 45+ years. RIP brother, Semper Fi. I am so glad we got together in May of 2019. I will treasure those final days together forever. You will not be forgotten.

Joel and I were stationed together in California and Hawaii. We shared many laughs, stories, and a “few” drinks. No better friend and Marine than Joel.
