I was always glad to see Jerry. Even though I live in Ramah I seldom get to Simla. And if I stopped for coffee or a meal, it was a special treat if Jerry was there. He was always warm and friendly. Even as ornery as I can be, Jerry and I never exchanged a cross remark.

Jerry included me in many of his visits and church endeavors. He had a way of teaching me and helping me to grow in the faith with love. He could correct me and I never felt I was being corrected . He cared about others feelings. He shared the gospel and he walked the walk. We miss him. Les and Meg

A Passed Friend
My friend Jerry Allen has passed away.
And gone to a place, with no end of day.
To live with Lord Jesus, Whom he taught about.
The Lord welcomed him home, I have no doubt.
He said, well done My servant, now you come on in.
Your robe is made white now, you have no sin.
You were a good man Jerry Allen, that's plain to see.
What you did for all others, you did for Me.
Author, Tom Wigington.

Jerry was a kind, caring man. I had the privilege of taking care of May Ann at the nursing home. And later, when I became sick Jerry would stop by my house to check on me. He would bring food and on one occasion even paid my electric bill. All of my Granddaughters received rebuilt bikes that he had fixed. Our community was lucky to have him. May he rest in peace.

As a constant presence in school, Jerry became a friendly face and a fun character to be around. He decided as a joke to Nick name my Brother and I 'Jesse' and 'Michael'. We grew to have fun with it as did Jerry. I got to see him recently and he still referred to me as 'Michael'. We both had a laugh and hug. RIP Jerry. Love and hugs to your family. -Chris Jackson

Jerry was a wonderful man who cared for young and old. He loved repairing bicycles to give to children around the various communities. He also was a great listener and provided much comfort to many families. Comforting prayers to his family.
