I am so sad to hear of Opal's passing. She has always been so kind. Anytime she saw me and Chanda Morgan (Hannigan) playing outside, she would call us over for cookies and lemonade. I still have the angel we made with her. My thoughts and prayers are with the Skinner Family.

My sincerest condolences to you; Connie Jo, Larry and Boone and families. I loved visiting with your mother when I visited my mother at Carla's. She was an amazing lady and was a joy to know. Even after mom was not there, I stopped to see her. What a long life she had. Joan Felzien Perry

Opal was an amazing lady. I had the privilege of knowing her for the last two years. I also had the privilege of taking care of her at Aspenleaf for those two years. She never ceased to put a smile on my face every time I went into her room. I called her my grandma because that is who she was to everyone. I am going to miss hearing her say “hey kiddo” with a smile on her face when I went into her room. Rest easy grandma. My thoughts and prayers are with this amazing family.

Oh Opal, what a life you led!
We so appreciated her friendship with Mom both at the Beehive and Carla's. It was always amazing how she greeted visitors and could call them by name. I trust Mama welcomed her to heaven just as Opal welcomed her years ago.
I think of Opal every time I make banana bread using her recipe!
Rest in peace, Opal, and may all of you be comforted by your wonderful memories of her.
