Obituary of Willilam Fetty Jr.

William (Bill) Fetty Jr., was born in Pueblo, Colorado to William (Bill) Fetty Sr. and Mabel Fetty (Nolting) on May 16th 1940. At the age of 80, Bill died peacefully in his home after a long and brave battel with cancer. He is preceded in death by parents Bill Sr. and Mable; brother Lloyd Fetty. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Jean Fetty (Hammer); his children Anita (Pat) Durham, Sara (Randy) Ivicic, Matt Fetty (Marlana), and Bryon Fetty (Lory); grandchildren Hadley and Ethan (Anita), Jem, Chris, and Cody (Sara), Erika, Arena and Elizabeth (Matt), and Garrett and Grant (Bryon) and great grandchildren Hanna, Talley Jo, Ruby, Alicia, Lexi, Calhan, and Jem; Siblings Annabelle, Alvin, Harold and Shirley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bill was always putting his family first. After completing 8th grade, he quit school to help his dad on the family farm and drove a bus for Boone school for two years. He married Jean on January 5th 1962. He continued to support his family working at APEX, CF&I, Schubert Sod Farm, Kunau Drilling, and Fetty’s Backhoe service. The job he loved was working for Henry Hammer and then farming and ranching as an independent land owner. Bill’s last job was managing Kit Carson RV Park as owner and operator. Bill had an ornery way about him. He enjoyed teasing and being teased. He would give Jean a hard time, occasionally he would get in trouble for it. We think his favorite way to get a rise out of her by tickling or goosing her. In lieu of flowers, Bill’s family asks for donations to: Community Hospital and Hospice, 111 6th Street, Hugo CO 80821.
