My condolences on Jerry's passing. I took his course in 1978. I know some of his former students or collaborators in west Africa. See their expressions of condolence below.
Prof, this sad news. Yes, I know some graduate students from Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso and Ghana who were J. Maranville students. I will share the news with them. I will try the link to present my condolences to his family, his colleagues at UNL.

I was heartbroken when I heard the sad news. Professor Maranville will be missed (for those who have known him. My deepest sympathies.
