PAULETTE LOUISE POWELL PASSED AWAY ON DECMEBER 20TH 2019, PEACEFULLY IN HER HOME IN KEENESBURG COLORADO. PAULETTE WAS BORN IN BURLINGTON, CO ON OCTOBER 30, 1945 TO OWEN AND ELISE (MILLER) POWELL. PAULETTE GREW UP AROUND THE AREAS OF BETHUNE, FLAGLER, STRATTON. SHE GRADUATED IN 1963 FROM BETHUNE HIGH SCHOOL WITH MULITPLE HONORS. AFTER HIGH SCHOOL PAULETTE MOVED TO DENVER, CO AND THERE SHE MEET JAMES BRACHTENBACH. THEY MARRIED IN 1965 IN THE MONTH OF MAY, SOON AFTER BEING MARRIED THEY WERE GREETED WITH TWIN BOYS KENNETH AND KEITH. A YEAR LATER THEY HAD THEIR FIRST DAUGHTER TONYA AND MOVED TO KERSEY, CO AND HAD THEIR SECOND DAUGHTER YVETTE AND THEIR LAST SON JAMES (JAMIE). PAULETTE AND JAMES RELOCATED TO HUDSON, CO AROUND THE YEAR 1973 AND DIVORCED AROUND 1980. FROM THERE PAULETTE MOVED TO LOCHBUIE, CO AND HAD LIVED THERE FOR 25 YEARS BEFORE HER LAST MOVE IN MAY OF 2012 TO KEENESBURG, CO UNTIL THE TIME OF HER DEATH. SHE IS SURIVED BY HER FIVE CHILDREN, KENNETH (RONDA) BRACHTENBACH OF FORT LUPTON, CO; KEITH (JESSICA) BRACHTENBACH OF WAXAHACHIE, TX; TONYA (TROY) PITCHER OF KEENESBURG, CO; YVETTE (TOM) KARANTOUNIS OF DENVER, CO. SHE IS ALSO SURIVED BY HER 10 GRANDKIDS, SAMANTHA (LYDIA) BUCHHOLZ; JOSHUA (HOPE) BUCHHOLZ; KELLIE (O.O.M.) BUCHHOLZ; KODY BRACHTENBACH; ZACHARY KARANTOUNIS; JERRAN PITCHER; ELIJAH KARANTOUNIS; JENNA PITCHER; MIA KARANTOUNIS AND NOAH BRACHTENBACH. HER SISTERS PAMELA AND MARILYN AND BROTHERS STEPHEN, ROYCE AND RANDY AND A NEPHEW DOUG AND NIECE STEPHANIE. SHE IS PROCEED IN DEATH BY HER SON JAMIE AND HER PARENTS AND SON IN-LAW Lewis BUCHHOLZ. THERE WILL BE AND OPEN HOUSE AT TONYA’S HOUSE FRIDAY THE 27TH STARTING AT 5:30 PM. BURIAL AT FLAGLER CEMETERY ON THE 30TH AT 11 AM WITH A RECEPTION AT FLAGLER SENIOR CENTER AT 12 PM.
